She first saw him at a beach party. He was a friend of a friend. She had gone to the party with much reluctance, forced by her best of friends. And coincidentally, it was there she met the man who changed a great deal in her life. Herself and her friends had just reached the party when they were interrupted by some handsome looking men. One of those men, Nathan, spoke first, very flirtatious, “Hello ladies, can we be of any assistance?” He winked. He was her best friend, Cassie’s boyfriend. He was gorgeous. Inflammably hot. He had dazzling features, eyes that sparkled, lips so kissable, skin like a barbie doll, clear and smooth, a face that made every woman turn heads. Wow! But amid the very attractive looking male, she caught the eye of one of his friends. He was not as attractive as Nathan. He was not anything like Nathan. He had a beauty that had to be searched. And she saw it. He was cute in his own way. He looked definitely striking in pink. He wore glasses, but even with them on, he had the best pair of eyes she had ever seen. It attracted her well. He looked at her, smiled and turned away. Oh! she did not care. It was just a different view she saw of him.
Forgetting all the suddenness, they got to the party. Everyone got onto the dance floor and started dancing. She was not in the mood, so she went on a stroll on the beach. She loved the beach. The beach at night was even breath-taking. The moon was out, bright and full, the cool wind blew across her face and she shivered. But she loved it. She walked barefoot, so she felt the cool, soft sand. She felt full of love in her heart. It was an amazing night. She stood, and watched the beach. It is beautiful, she thought.

For ten minutes, she just stood watching the beach. And then, she heard someone say, “A beautiful night”. She turned to see, and it was that man she saw early. He was drinking a bottle of beer, and stood to watch the beach. “Yes, a very beautiful night.” She said as she turned away. He spoke again, “But not as beautiful as during the day.” He drank a sip of beer, still watching the beach. “Nah, I don’t agree. I like the beach better at night. It’s more calm.” She watched the waves flow in and out calmly. The sound of the waves, was music to the ear.

“Well, I’m Aaron.”, he smiled at her and offered his hand. She gazed at him for awhile and shook his hand. “I’m Vivienne. It’s nice to meet you.” He smiled again. There was something mesmerizing about his smile, like it gave out double meanings.

“Hey, Aaron, dude, Nathan needs you.” Some guy called out from far. He turned his head towards the sound of his friend’s voice. Aaron looked back at her and said softly, “I’ll see you sometime.” And ran back the way he came. She stood and watched him go, Life is sometimes very weird. She got back to her life. She stood watching the beach for a very long time. She knew she had to get back home soon, but what she did not know was what was awaiting her tomorrow.

Ring Ring rrrring Her phone rang. Who can it be? She took her phone and saw an unknown number on her phone display. Who the hell can this be? She picked it up anyways. “Hey” The caller spoke. It was a sassy, deep, manly voice. She fell in love with it. But she did not know who this man was. “Who’s this?” She asked. And then, she remembered. Oh my god, isn’t this Aaron? “Aaron, is that you?” She called back. “Hey, you remembered! So you have been thinking about me?” He gave a hearty laugh.“Thinking about you! Haha..now that is a joke!” She laughed out loud. “Anyways, how did you get my number?” She was curious. “Well darling, when I want something, I get it. How you been?” hmm..he is interesting.

“I’m good. Still alive thou. How about you?” She watched her beautiful figure through the mirror, and wondered what she could wear. “I’m doing not so good. Thinking about an angel that came on to earth last night, and was wondering whether I could hook up with her.” All play, nothing but play. Oh, yes he was flirting with her. She enjoyed the conversation. “Haha. I hope the angel does not go back to heaven. If so, poor you!” She teased him playfully. She did not remember the last time she enjoyed a conversation so much. “Nah, with me around, no angel can go up to heaven ’cause I tend to catch them way before they reach high. Anyways, cut it out. I was wondering whether you would like to go out sometime. Maybe today. You know a coffee. What do you say?” He finally reached the point.

She smiled brightly. “I think I would love that.” She smiled again.

“So what made you think of having a cup of coffee with me?” She was teasing him the entire time. He smiled. It a smile she adored. “I spoke about an angel, remember? Well that angel, took me away with her. So I came to know whether she would return my heart or preferably keep it with her. What’s the catch?” He sighed and winked. She laughed loudly. “How am I to know? I don’t even know the girl you are talking about! Matter of fact, I don’t even know you!” She exclaimed.

“Like I said, I’m Aaron, 19 years old. Currently doing nothing. Just fooling around. I’m quite impossible. Definitely romantic and a flirt. If I want something, I get it by hook or crook. I don’t give up, ever. I’m wild, some people say I’m cold-hearted, some say I’m just adorable. Pick your choice. And…”

“OK. Stop! I do not want to know everything in one day. Aaron, I’m not running away. She smiled again. “I hoped you said that” He teased her. They had coffee together, spoke about a lot of things. There were times when he just looked at her and read her personality. It shocked her. He hadn’t even spent much time with her, but he read her with accuracy. He shocked her in many other ways. She had never seen someone like him ever before. She had a great time. After the coffee, they went to a carnival, where she had plenty of fun. She laughed her way though out. And she felt herself being reborn. She was lively and full of enthusiasm that night.

Through out the night, he was staring at her. He loved some characteristics of hers. He loved the way she fooled around with him. He loved the way she teased him, the way she tried to read out his personality just like he did, the way she talked back at him with no fear. He loved it. She had a beauty that caught him. She was pretty, and had the most mesmerizing eyes that pierced into him. This could be another start for him. A final settle down.

She remembered that night, like it happened yesterday. She remembered the way he made her smile, the way she caught him staring at her, the way he played around. She remembered it all. Every single detail. It was a start of a new life for her. She watched the waves drifting. She wanted to forget, but it was hard, so she dwelled on it more and more.

And this time, she remembered, that night after the carnival…
