I lied. You lied. He lied. She lied. They lied. WE ALL LIED.

Or have lied, at least once in our lifetime.. It’s considered normal. Human nature. Whatever you want to call it.

But lied for different reasons. We weigh the lie on the lie.

There is just one rule when it comes to lying. “Never lie to yourself.” Oh, no it’s not alright either to lie to someone or anyone for the matter of fact, to give a million reasons to cover up one lie. But it is worse to lie to yourself.

What you see, may not always be right.
What you believe in, may not always be right.
What your instincts say, may not always be right. Either.

Someone once told me,”Trust yourself. Believe in what your heart says. Follow it. It may not be right, but it is still worth listening to yourself.”

Reality may not seem as it is. And fantasy should not be believed.

Is it our heart or mind playing tricks on us? Or both? Or is it that we chose not to believe even if it’s the truth knocking at out doorstep. You think it’s impossible.

And instead you believed the person who used you, took you for granted while you disbelieved and accused the person who genuinely cared, loved and watched every step you took and saw the trouble coming towards you.

And you still cheated and accused him. When trouble came finding for you, he was there. All you still managed to do, was blame him.

All he did, was listen, and hope one day that realization would come to you.

We make truth seem like a lie, a lie seem like the truth.
Was it because we chose not to believe?
Or was it because we underestimated people?
Or was it because we were truly ignorant?

I wish I could take all of this back. I wish I followed my heart from the start. I wish I followed the truth because I’ve being living a lie.

But in life, you can’t take anything back. You can ONLY start afresh.

Now, the confusion is untangled. The lies are burned, though there is still more. The scores are settled without harm nor curse. The truth alone triumphs. And in the end, your instincts does matter.
